Waiheke Island offers a wide range of family friendly experiences for visitors. Whatever you do, leave plenty of time to explore the beaches and reserves. They're perfect play areas, many with safe swimming. Onetangi, Palm Beach and Little Oneroa have great picnic spots, playgrounds, toilets and changing facilities as well as nearby cafés, dairies and mobile pizza vans to replenish all that energy.
Venues like Wild on Waiheke, Passage Rock winery, Solar Eating and others have dedicated play areas so adults can enjoy sampling the local wine and produce while the kids are entertained. If it's fine, take the whole family to Ecozip Adventures, flying through the bush on 200m zip lines or have an adventure exploring the historic WWII Stony Batter tunnels. If it's wet, head to Oneroa's cinema!
